Refrigeration Engineer - Birmingham £43,680 Basic + £1,575 Standby + Door-to-Door Travel Pay Van for Personal Use | 33 Days Holiday | Overtime | Private Healthcare A well-established refrigeration service business is looking to add an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to its Birmingham team. This is a mobile position covering commercial sites across the area, working on a mixture of refrigeration equipment for customers across sectors including retail, healthcare and education. The company has been established for more than 25 years and has built its reputation around technical standards, reliability and keeping hold of good engineers. What you'll be doing You'll be out on customer sites carrying out a mixture of planned and reactive work, including: Servicing and maintaining commercial refrigeration systems Diagnosing and repairing faults Working on cold rooms, freezers, chillers and display equipment Completing planned preventative maintenance Responding to breakdowns as part of the call-out rota What you'll need We're looking for someone with a solid background in commercial refrigeration who is comfortable working independently and dealing directly with customers. You'll need: Commercial refrigeration experience F-Gas certification Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills Full UK driving licence NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning would be advantageous CO? experience is useful but not essential What's on offer £43,680 basic salary £1,575 annual standby payment 1 in 6 call-out rota Door-to-door travel paid 40 hours per week Overtime at 1.5x Monday to Saturday Overtime at 2x Sundays and Bank Holidays 33 days holiday including bank holidays Company van with personal use Fuel card, tools, uniform and smartphone Private healthcare Company pension Life insurance worth 3x salary Sick pay scheme Long service recognition Employee discounts and benefits Ongoing technical training and development If you're an experienced commercial refrigeration engineer looking for a well-established business, a strong package and a role covering Birmingham, this could be worth a conversation.
