Job Description
Project - Multiple projects in High Power area. Location - Great Baddow Clearance - SC cleared to start Contract Length - 12 months Onsite requirement - 3 dpw on site in Chelmsford The Opportunity We are looking for RF / Analogue Design Engineers to support the development of advanced high-power and high-energy subsystems, including within innovative directed energy programmes. You will work at the forefront of technology, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, customers, and partners to deliver pioneering solutions in a highly specialised environment. Location: Great Baddow (on site at least 3 days per week) Clearance: SC Key Responsibilities Design, develop and validate RF and analogue circuitry for high-power / high-voltage applications Contribute to the development of advanced subsystems within directed energy and energy-intensive platforms Apply knowledge of energy storage technologies to system-level design and integration Support bid activities, technical proposals, and programme delivery Work collaboratively with internal teams, customers, and partners to deliver innovative solutionsSkills & Experience Required RF Engineers with strong practical and theoretical knowledge Background in analogue circuit design Proven experience in design engineering within complex systems Ideally you will have experience working with high power and/or high voltage systems, alternatively be very willing to learn Understanding of energy storage technologies (e.g., capacitive systems, pulsed power, batteries) Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to technically challenging programmesAdditional Attributes Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to support early-career engineers Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced R&D environment Proactive approach to problem solving and innovationPersonal Attributes Curious, motivated, and driven to solve challenging problems Good communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders Proactive and innovative in your approach Comfortable in a fast-paced R&D environment
