Reception Teaching Assistant (Early Years)
Hackney, East London | Full-Time | September Start | Full Academic Year
Daily Rate: £100 per day, rising to £124 per day after 12 qualifying working weeks
SANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting a Reception Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hackney from September. This full-time role is available for the full academic year and offers the opportunity to support children at a crucial stage of their learning and development within a well-established Early Years team.

Role Summary
As a Reception Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher and Early Years team to support children's learning, development and wellbeing throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
Support children across the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
Work with individuals, small groups and the whole class
Promote children's communication, language and social development
Support learning through structured play and practical activities
Encourage independence, confidence and positive relationships
Contribute to outdoor learning activities and child-led exploration
Assist with classroom organisation, routines and transitions
Help maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will:
Have experience supporting children within an Early Years or Reception setting
Be patient, caring and committed to helping young children succeed
Demonstrate a good understanding of child development and learning through play
Be confident supporting children both indoors and outdoors
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
Be reliable and able to commit to a full-time position for the academic year
Be enthusiastic about supporting children's confidence, wellbeing and independence
Pay and Progression
The role offers a daily rate of £100 per day, increasing to £124 per day after 12 qualifying working weeks. Progression to the higher rate reflects successful performance in the role, relevant Early Years experience, and the ability to effectively support learning and development within the classroom.
