Job Description
Family-run, leading CAD/CAM tooling solutions company, established 80 years, seeks a CNC Programmer/Setter (Offline) to program and set a wide variety of tooling. Joining a long-serving team who are passionate about providing a first-class service to their customers, you will be responsible for creating high-quality offline programmes, whilst providing a personal, hands-on approach to each tool manufactured. The successful candidate must be an experienced hyperMILL (OPEN MIND) user. You should be self- motivated, able to work independently and willing to make your own decisions on how best to machine a job. Please note that other CAM software packages (such as PowerMILL) are not transferable for this role. Offered as a permanent contract, the role of CNC Programmer/Setter offers market competitive salary plus overtime opportunities and immediate start available. CNC Programmer/Setter duties include: * Create high-quality offline milling programs exclusively using hyperMILL software for 3-axis and 5-axis machines * Program and set a wide variety of tooling in a range of different materials such as tooling board models, aluminium moulds & tools, cast-iron patterns and coreboxes * Be responsible for your own dedicated hyperMILL offline workstation (utilising the company's newly expanded license seat) * Conducting quality assurance and safety checks on all tooling * Develop CNC programs for machining parts based on engineering drawings and specification * Interpreting project blueprints Skills and attributes required by successful candidate for the role of CNC Programmer/Setter * Hands-on experience creating offline programs using hyperMILL * Comprehensive understanding of multi-axis machining – the company’s 3-axis machines run on Heidenhain controls and the 5-axis machines run on Fanuc controls * Familiarity with CAD/CAM software * Able to work under pressure * Have the skills & capabilities to work to the required standards * Be adaptable and be willing to go the extra mile to meet tight deadlines Location: Willenhall, West Midlands Hours of work: 7:30am - 4:00pm Monday to Thursday, 7:30am - 12:30pm Friday Salary: £18 to £20 per hour – dependent upon experience Overtime: Available time and a third during the week/time and a half on Saturdays Benefits: Pension, Leisurebank (additional annual leave) If you have the skills and experience to fulfil the role of CNC Programmer/Setter, please APPLY TODAY
