Specialist ICT Teacher - SEMH and Trauma Informed Setting Location: Doncaster Start Date: Immediate Salary: £145 - £210 (Paid via PAYE, no umbrella company fees, depending on experience) + Holiday pay Academics is an agency recruiting for a Specialist ICT Teacher to work within a SEMH and Trauma informed setting where students present SEMH needs in addition to some non-verbal students in Doncaster. This is an exceptionally important role in enabling engagement and education for some of the most vulnerable children in the Education and Training sector. The role: The role is for a Speacialist ICT teacher working in an independent SEMH and Trauma informed setting in Doncaster. The setting has a bespoke curriculum, involving forest schools and drumming with purpose-built cabins to cater for sensory learning when required. Planning is required. Education and Training A Specialist ICT Teacher will work within multi-disciplinary teams with very small class sizes, there are a total of 15 pupils on site, with ages ranging from 6 to 16 years. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver personalised lessons Adapt learning to meet EHCP targets Support pupils with a range of SEN including ASC, ADHD and SEMH Promote positive behaviour and independence Work collaboratively with support staff and therapists Follow safeguarding procedures Maintain a calm, consistent and nurturing environment Candidate Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Previous SEN teaching experience or strong knowledge of specialist education Understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, SLD, PMLD and additional learning needs Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) Ability to commute to Doncaster What Academics offer: Flexible SEN teaching opportunities Competitive daily rate (£145 - £210), paid weekly - Term time only Free CPD tailored to complex needs A dedicated consultant to provide you with support throughout your employment Refer a friend scheme that allows you to earn up to £125 of Love2Shop vouchers for every education professional you refer to us.
