Assistant Site Manager – Ebbsfleet Location: Ebbsfleet, Kent Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum Sector: Residential / Volume Housebuilding Type: Permanent We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager to join a leading volume housebuilding company on a large residential development in Ebbsfleet, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Site Manager looking to develop their career within a well-established housebuilder, working on a large-scale residential scheme and gaining valuable experience across all aspects of site delivery. The Role Working closely with the Site Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day management of the development, ensuring homes are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. You will play a key role in coordinating trades and subcontractors, monitoring progress and maintaining high standards throughout the build programme. Key Responsibilities * Assist the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the site. * Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and trades. * Monitor build progress against programme and ensure deadlines are achieved. * Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and in accordance with company specifications. * Carry out regular quality inspections and snagging. * Ensure health & safety procedures are followed across the site. * Conduct inductions, toolbox talks and site briefings where required. * Assist with maintaining site records and documentation. * Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider construction team. * Help identify and resolve any issues that could impact programme, quality or safety. * Support the Site Manager in delivering a safe, well-organised and efficient site. About You We are looking for someone who is driven, organised and keen to progress their career within residential construction. Ideally, you will have: * Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or in a similar residential construction role. * Experience working on volume housebuilding or large residential developments. * Good knowledge of construction processes and sequencing. * Strong understanding of health & safety requirements. * Excellent communication and organisational skills. * The ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors. * A proactive approach with strong attention to detail. * Relevant construction qualifications. * CSCS and SMSTS/SSSTS qualifications are desirable/required depending on experience.
