Facilities Manager
Salary: £60,000 + £5.8k Car Allowance | Monday to Friday | Essex
We’re hiring for a Facilities Manager to oversee the full facilities management operation across a busy production and manufacturing site.
The Facilities Manager will take ownership of the TFM operation, overseeing engineering, cleaning, post room and wider service delivery, whilst acting as a key point of contact for the client and ensuring KPIs, SLAs, compliance and service standards are consistently delivered.
This is a great opportunity for a Facilities Manager with a strong mechanical or electrical engineering background and proven experience managing people across a TFM environment. The role is highly client-facing and requires a confident, assertive manager who can also lead with an approachable and empathetic style.
Responsibilities for a Facilities Manager
* Overseeing the full TFM operation across the site, excluding security
* Managing and developing engineering, cleaning, post room and wider operational teams
* Acting as the primary point of contact for the client and key stakeholders
* Ensuring contractual KPIs, SLAs, H&S and service standards are consistently achieved
* Managing budgets, costs and operational performance
* Overseeing subcontractors and supply chain partners
* Driving continuous improvement and maintaining strong client relationships
Requirements
* Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background with solid technical knowledge
* Proven experience managing a TFM or multi-service facilities operation
* Strong people management experience, including developing and mentoring teams
* Confident and experienced in a highly client-facing environment
* Good understanding of SLAs, KPIs, budgets and commercial performance
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and facilities management compliance
