Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Yolk Recruitment is supporting an established manufacturing business in the search for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their maintenance team working on a 2-shift pattern. This opportunity offers the chance to join a busy production environment where reliability and continuous improvement are key.
In this role, you will:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance across manufacturing and production equipment.
Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and restore equipment efficiently.
Maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical systems.
Fault find on PLC-controlled systems and automated machinery.
Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Assist with machinery improvements, installations, and commissioning projects.
Drive improvements in equipment reliability and production performance.
Complete maintenance records and engineering documentation accurately.
Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards.
What You'll Bring:
Time-served Maintenance Engineer with either an electrical bias or strong multi-skilled capability.
Experience within manufacturing, heavy industry, automotive, , FMCG, or similar industrial environments.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
Experience working with drives, inverters, control systems, and PLCs.
Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively within a maintenance team.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Early Shift: 06:00 - 14:00
Late Shift: Rotating afternoon shiftThere is potential for the site to introduce a 3-shift pattern in the future, including night shifts, attracting an enhanced shift premium.
