Job post summary Date posted: 15 September 2026 Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year Job Description: Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing Location: Kingswinford, West Midlands Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Permanent | Full-Time This is a hands-on role suited to a Multi skilled maintenance technician with experience across production machinery and facilities maintenance. The ideal candidate will be proactive and practical, with a genuine interest in continuous improvement, problem-solving and finding better ways of doing things. The Role * Planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across the site. * Mechanical maintenance and fault-finding on production machinery and equipment. * Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults. * General facilities maintenance. * Responding to breakdowns and minimising production downtime. * Identifying and implementing improvements to machinery, processes and equipment. * Developing practical solutions to recurring issues. * Making simple jigs, fixtures and tooling to improve machine operation and efficiency. * Supporting machinery modifications and continuous improvement projects. * Working closely with production and engineering teams. * Maintaining accurate maintenance records. * Occasional international travel may be required. Essential: * Previous multi-skilled maintenance experience, ideally within manufacturing or engineering. * Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills. * Experience with industrial machinery and/or production equipment. * Facilities maintenance experience. * Level 2 NVQ in Electrical Installation/Engineering or equivalent. * 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. * Electrical and pneumatic fault-finding knowledge. * Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improvement. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable: * CNC milling and/or CNC lathe experience – ideal but not essential. * Experience making or modifying jigs, fixtures or tooling. * Basic machining/fabrication skills. * Experience with automated or specialist machinery. * Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement
