HGV Class 2 Driver - Temporary Event Logistics Role. Location: Basingstoke Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour Duration: ASAP - End of October Hours: 24-hour operation, Monday-Sunday Job Type: Temporary We are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join a busy events logistics operation based in Basingstoke on a temporary basis from ASAP until the end of October. This is a varied role involving the delivery and collection of equipment and stock for events across the UK. You will be working with a professional team and regularly liaising with company directors, event crew and on-site workers. The Role: Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle to deliver and collect equipment and stock for events across the UK Working a mixture of AM, PM, evening and night shifts Working as part of a 24-hour, 7-day operation Loading and unloading stock and equipment Meeting with company directors, crew members and on-site workers Travelling throughout the UK Occasional nights away, although these are rare Ensuring deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept in a safe and roadworthy condition Representing the company professionally when dealing with clients and event teams Carrying out general duties associated with the delivery and collection of event equipment Pay and Hours: £17.00 per hour across all hours worked Based on a 40-hour working week Hours worked between 9pm and 7am will accrue at the applicable overtime rate Once you exceed 173 hours in a month, all additional hours will be paid at 1.5 times the standard rate This is a 24-hour operation, Monday to Sunday Candidates must be fully flexible and willing to work AM, PM and night shifts Requirements: Full UK driving licence Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card Minimum 6 months' commercial HGV driving experience Confident driving HGV vehicles across the UK Good geographical knowledge of the UK Comfortable with loading and unloading stock and equipment Flexible approach to working hours and shifts Reliable, professional and punctual Confident communicating with directors, crew members and on-site personnel Physically capable of handling and moving equipment Good attention to safety and vehicle checksPrevious experience within the events, production, logistics or similar industries would be beneficial but is not essential.
