Cnc Machinist

Position: CNC Machinist - Miller Location: Gloucester Type of roe: permanent Working hours: 2 rotating weeks Earlies: Mon-Thurs: 6:00am to 2:00pm & Fridays: 6:00am to 11:30am Lates: Mon-Thurs: 2:00pm to 10:00pm & Fridays: 11:30am to 5:00pm Salary: Up to £40,846, including shift allowance Overtimes: paid at premium rate We are looking for CNC Miller to work for engineering manufacturing business based in Gloucester. The appropriate candidate would be responsible for machining precision parts for aerospace sector. You will be working as part of a wider team to undertake a variety of CNC duties and produce a wide range of precision components for many industries including automotive (F1), aerospace, military & transport. Responsibilities of CNC setter: Set and operate Haas/Fanuc-controlled CNC machines Working from Technical Drawings Installing the correct programmes into the machine Prepare and load materials and components Working to specific tolerances ensuring these are accurate for each operation Inspect and measure finished components, recording results using in-process inspection sheets Fulfil daily responsibilities using our ERP system. (IFS) Reporting any issues to their Supervisor/Manager Requirements of CNC setter You must have experience of setting and operating CNC machines – routers and/or milling machines Completed relevant apprenticeship in engineering or a minimum of Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds in the relevant field is desirable Experience producing precision milled components from a variety of materials, mainly composite, aluminium & plastics.
