Huntingdon | £36,050 per annum + Excellent Benefits
Monday to Friday (Day Shift) 37.5 hours per week

We are recruiting for a Senior Operations Workshop Team Member, to join a well-established company in Huntingdon. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a small, supportive team in a friendly and professional environment where quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement are genuinely valued.
This is a senior, hands-on position where you will use your workshop and machining expertise to manufacture bespoke Metal products, support colleagues across the team, and help ensure customers receive high-quality products to exact specifications.
About You
We would love to hear from candidates who have experience within a workshop, manufacturing or engineering environment and are confident using a range of conventional machine shop equipment.
Ideally, you will have experience with:
Bandsaws
Lathes
Vertical milling machines
Guillotines
Engineering drawings
Inspection and quality checks
Measuring equipment and technical specifications
The Role
As a Senior Operations Team Member, you will be responsible for producing customer orders using a variety of workshop machinery while maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards.
You will also play an important role in supporting and developing colleagues, sharing your knowledge and helping to drive continuous improvements across the department.
Key responsibilities include:
Operating workshop machinery safely and efficiently
Manufacturing products to customer specifications
Working from engineering drawings and production sheets
Inspecting and checking finished products
Maintaining accurate documentation and stock records
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Training and assisting new and existing team members
Ensuring a safe, organised and efficient work environment
Supporting the wider operations team as required
