The Company
Our client designs and manufactures bespoke mechanical engineering solutions for critical environments, supporting sectors including healthcare, data centres, hospitality and commercial infrastructure. They serve a host of commercial and industrial businesses, having secured multi-year partnerships to stabilise their continued growth. Their multiple revenue streams with major players in the market saw them reach £30M turnover and almost 200 UK staff.
Due to an increase in secured contracts, they are looking to recruit a Project Manager with immediate effect.
The Role
The role of Project Manager will join a team of 3 established Project Managers, taking the lead on one of the business’s product lines. The Project Manager will be responsible for £6-7M of secured contracts guaranteed over the next 2 years. This role will be critical for the business to hit the next level of their targeted growth. The role of Project Manager will involve:
Owning end-to-end mechanical engineering projects
Operating as the main point of contact for customers
Creating project timelines covering everything from design to installation and commissioning
Involvement in site surveys, including risk assessments
Managing subcontractors for installation and testing
Taking full ownership of the project’s financial performance
The Candidate
To be successful in your application for this Project Manager role you will need:
Experience managing projects for the power distribution industry
Either experience in large scale assembly or installation projects, ideally with a combination of both
Strong organisational skills across projects, people, and financials
Excellent relationship building skills to communicate with high-profile clients
Ability to manage and negotiate competing expectations
