Quality Technician
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
A well-established engineering manufacturer is looking to recruit a Quality Technician into a specialist manufacturing team within a cutting edge space.
This role would suit someone with inspection or quality experience who wants to develop into a broader Quality Engineering position.
You do not need experience in every area. Training will be provided in Minitab, MSA, Cp/Cpk, 8D, optical measurement and other quality tools.
The Role
You will support both inspection and Quality Engineering activity, including:

First-off, final and in-process inspection
*
Dimensional measurement and reporting
*
Analysing manufacturing and quality data
*
Raising and supporting closure of non-conformances
*
Supporting 8D and root cause investigations
*
Using optical measurement, CMM and compression testing equipment
*
Supporting audits, work instructions and customer quality activity
*
Identifying improvements to inspection processes
What They Are Looking For
Ideally you will have:
*
Engineering, manufacturing or inspection experience
*
Experience using micrometers, Verniers or similar equipment
*
Good computer and data skills
*
Strong attention to detail
*
A methodical approach
*
A willingness to learn and develop
CMM, Minitab, MSA, Cp/Cpk or 8D experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
There is a clear development route from Quality Technician towards Quality Engineer, with external and internal training provided.
