HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver (Waste Industry)
š Location: NN11
š° Pay: Ā£17.50 per hour (when permanent) + Overtime Premium
š Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:30am start, finishing between 3:00pm and 5:00pm
ā° Weekly Hours: 45 - 48 hours per week
š Contract: Temp to Perm
The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver to join a well-established business within the waste management industry based in the NN11 area.
This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a reliable and professional driver looking for a long-term career with a growing company.
As a Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for the collection and transportation of liquid waste from commercial, industrial, and domestic customer sites using a Class 2 tanker vehicle. You will operate tanker equipment safely and efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Driving and operating a Class 2 (Category C) tanker vehicle.
* Collecting and transporting liquid waste from customer sites.
* Operating tanker pumps, hoses, and associated equipment.
* Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with transport regulations.
* Maintaining accurate records and waste transfer documentation.
* Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
* Providing a professional and courteous service to customers.
Requirements
* Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
* Valid Driver CPC qualification.
* Digital Tachograph Card.
* Good understanding of drivers' hours and transport legislation.
* Previous tanker or waste industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
* Excellent customer service skills.
