Job Description
Our client, a highways organisation, is seeking a Traffic Regulation Officer to join its team on a contract basis. The role will focus on drafting and preparing Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs), while also supporting the permit team and contributing to effective traffic management across the highway network.
Key Responsibilities:
Drafting and preparing Traffic Regulation Orders in line with highways legislation and procedures
Supporting the preparation, review and processing of traffic management documentation
Working as a member of the permit team to assist with the coordination of highway works
Reviewing traffic-related information and ensuring records are accurate and up to date
Liaising with internal teams, contractors and other stakeholders regarding traffic regulation matters
Contributing to the safe and efficient management of the highway network
Job Requirements:
Experience in traffic regulation, highways or traffic management
Understanding of Traffic Regulation Orders and their preparation
Knowledge of permit schemes and highway works coordination
Strong attention to detail when producing technical and regulatory documentation
Good organisational and administrative skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders
Availability to work a 40-hour week on a contract basis
