Are you an organised administrator looking to build a career in HR?
We’re working with a well-established professional services organisation that is looking for an HR Assistant to join its busy and supportive HR team.
This could suit someone at the beginning of their HR career, as well as an experienced administrator looking to take the next step into a dedicated HR environment.
You’ll be someone who enjoys being organised, working with people and keeping things moving. You’ll need to be comfortable managing multiple priorities, handling confidential information and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
The RoleThis is a varied HR position with exposure across the full employee lifecycle. You’ll provide day-to-day administrative support to the wider HR function while also getting involved in projects, reporting and process improvement.
You’ll be responsible for:
Managing a range of HR administration, ensuring records and documentation are accurate and up to date
Acting as a first point of contact for employee queries and providing a helpful, professional service
Supporting recruitment, onboarding and leaver processes
Maintaining the organisation’s HR system and ensuring employee data is accurate
Delivering inductions for new starters and supporting follow-up meetings
Producing monthly HR reports using HR systems and other data sources
Supporting HR Advisers with training and employee-related processes
Coordinating work experience, summer placement and graduate recruitment activity
Supporting relevant professional body processes
Maintaining HR content on the organisation’s intranet
Preparing monthly HR updates and internal communications
Producing the HR newsletter
Supporting projects including policy updates, process improvements and GDPR-related activity
Working alongside the Payroll Adviser and assisting with monthly payroll checks and audit requirementsWhat We’re Looking ForYou don’t need to have worked in HR before. We’re more interested in your organisational skills, attitude and ability to learn.
We’re looking for someone who:
Has strong administration and organisational skills
Pays close attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate work
Can manage competing priorities and work effectively in a busy environment
Is comfortable dealing with confidential and sensitive information
Has strong Microsoft Office skills
Communicates confidently and professionally with colleagues at all levels
Takes a proactive approach and looks for ways to improve processes
Can work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
Is keen to develop their knowledge and career within HRPrevious HR or payroll experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
