Trainee Miller Location: Oxfordshire Salary: £28,000 per annum Hours: Initially Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm during training, progressing onto a shift pattern which includes 12 hour day and night shifts Training: Full training provided, including a Distance Learning Programme (DLP).   The Opportunity We are recruiting for a Trainee Miller to join a well-established and rapidly growing flour manufacturing business based in Oxfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone from a manual, hands on or labouring background who is looking to learn a skilled trade and develop a long term career within the milling industry. No previous milling experience is required. Full training will be provided, including a structured Distance Learning Programme, so attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn are key.   This is a traditional mill environment where much of the machinery is operated manually rather than being fully automated. So, we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys practical, hands on work and is comfortable learning how machinery operates.   What You'll Be Doing Learning how to operate and monitor traditional milling machinery Carrying out practical, hands on tasks throughout the milling process Learning how to make manual adjustments to machinery and equipment Monitoring production and ensuring products meet required standards Supporting the wider production and milling team Completing full on the job training alongside the Distance Learning Programme Following health, safety and food production procedures Progressing onto the full shift pattern once training is completed What We're Looking For Full UK driving licence and own transport Previous experience within a manual, labouring, production, warehouse, manufacturing or similarly hands on role Comfortable carrying out physical and practical work Flexible and willing to work 12 hour shifts, including nights, following training A genuine willingness to learn and develop a new skill Reliable with a strong work ethic No previous milling experience necessary What's On Offer You'll be joining a fast growing business with ambitious plans for the future, making this a great opportunity to get into the industry at junior level and develop as the company continues to expand.   Salary: £28,000 per annum   Full training and development provided
