Job Description
AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR AN EXPERIENCED, COMMERCIALLY FOCUSED HEAD OF HR / HR MANAGER TO LEAD THE PEOPLE FUNCTION FOR A GROWING, MULTI-SITE WASTE MANAGEMENT AND RECYCLING BUSINESS
Salary : £65,000 - £75,000 plus car allowance, bonus and pension. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Location: Home based with travel to sites as required
You will work closely with the senior leadership team and operational managers, providing both strategic and hands-on HR leadership across the business.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage the Senior HR Advisor
* Develop and deliver the HR and people strategy aligned to business growth.
* Advise senior leaders and managers on commercial HR matters.
* Lead HR policies, processes and employment-law compliance.
* Manage employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance issues.
* Lead recruitment, retention, succession planning and talent management.
* Coach and develop managers and leaders.
* Improve performance management, engagement, culture and wellbeing initiatives.
* Support organisational change, restructuring and business growth.
* Oversee payroll and HR administration.
* Build strong relationships with employees and managers across multiple operational sites.
* Ability to integrate new employees following acquisitions
About You
* Experienced Head of HR, HR Manager, Senior HRBP or equivalent.
* Background in waste/recycling, environmental services, logistics, manufacturing, construction or another operational environment.
* Strong UK employment law and employee relations experience.
* Experience supporting multi-site/geographically dispersed teams.
* Commercial, pragmatic and hands-on approach.
* Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills.
* Experience delivering organisational change and people initiatives.
Requirements
* CIPD Level 7 or equivalent experience – essential
* Valid UK driving licence – essential
* Willingness to travel regularly across sites in the North of England and Midlands
