Head of HR / HR Manager – Waste & Recycling

AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR AN EXPERIENCED, COMMERCIALLY FOCUSED HEAD OF HR / HR MANAGER TO LEAD THE PEOPLE FUNCTION FOR A GROWING, MULTI-SITE WASTE MANAGEMENT AND RECYCLING BUSINESS Salary : £65,000 - £75,000 plus car allowance, bonus and pension. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Location: Home based with travel to sites as required You will work closely with the senior leadership team and operational managers, providing both strategic and hands-on HR leadership across the business. You may have been : Head of HR, HR Manager, HR Director, Group HR Manager, Group Head of HR, Head of People, Head of People & Culture, HR Business Partner, Senior HR Business Partner, HR Lead, HR Operations Manager, People Manager, People Operations Manager, Senior HR Manager, HR & People Manager, HR Generalist, Senior HR Generalist, Human Resources Manager, Human Resources Business Partner, Employee Relations Manager, HR Consultant Key Responsibilities * Manage the Senior HR Advisor * Develop and deliver the HR and people strategy aligned to business growth. * Advise senior leaders and managers on commercial HR matters. * Lead HR policies, processes and employment-law compliance. * Manage employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance issues. * Lead recruitment, retention, succession planning and talent management. * Coach and develop managers and leaders. * Improve performance management, engagement, culture and wellbeing initiatives. * Support organisational change, restructuring and business growth. * Oversee payroll and HR administration. * Build strong relationships with employees and managers across multiple operational sites. * Ability to integrate new employees following acquisitions About You * Experienced Head of HR, HR Manager, Senior HRBP or equivalent. * Background in waste/recycling, environmental services, logistics, manufacturing, construction or another operational environment. * Strong UK employment law and employee relations experience. * Experience supporting multi-site/geographically dispersed teams. * Commercial, pragmatic and hands-on approach. * Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills. * Experience delivering organisational change and people initiatives.
