Job Description
School First Aider – Telford
Location: Telford
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hours: 8:00am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary
We are currently recruiting for an experienced First Aider to work within a school in Telford, providing first aid and welfare support to pupils and staff throughout the school day.
The successful candidate will hold a valid, in-date First Aid qualification and ideally have previous experience working in a school or similar setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing first aid to pupils and staff when required
Responding appropriately to accidents, injuries and illness
Assessing and treating minor injuries in line with your level of training
Maintaining accurate records of first aid incidents
Supporting pupils who become unwell during the school day
Contacting parents/carers where necessary and following school procedures
Ensuring first aid supplies are appropriately maintained
Working closely with school staff to promote pupil health, safety and wellbeing
Maintaining confidentiality and following safeguarding procedures
The Ideal Candidate:
Holds a valid and in-date First Aid qualification
Previous First Aid experience is essential
Previous school or education experience would be desirable
Calm and confident when dealing with emergencies
Caring, approachable and professional
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Strong understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
Vetting Requirements:
All candidates will be required to complete our full safeguarding and vetting process before commencing work.
Minimum of two satisfactory employer references covering the previous 24 months
Three references required if you have not previously worked with childre
