Job Description
Safely operate a Class 2 HGV with HIAB/crane (Must be able to operate chains and slings on licence) to deliver and collect welfare equipment. * Deliver portable toilets, welfare units, temporary site equipment and related products. * Carry out multi-drop deliveries, including deliveries into London. * Load, unload and secure equipment and materials safely and correctly. * Operate the HIAB/crane safely and efficiently, including positioning equipment on site where required. * Check loads are secure and suitable for transport before leaving site. * Complete delivery, collection and other required paperwork accurately and on time. * Liaise professionally with customers, site managers and internal teams. * Plan efficient delivery routes using your knowledge of local areas and London. * Carry out vehicle and HIAB safety checks and report any defects immediately. * Maintain high standards of health & safety and comply with company procedures at all times. * Keep the vehicle clean, tidy and presentable. * Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers and members of the public. What You Need * A current and valid UK Class 2 (Cat C) Driving Licence. * HIAB / lorry loader qualification and relevant experience. * Clean UK driving record – maximum 6 penalty points. * Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tacho Card. * Minimum 2 years holding an HGV licence and HIAB experience. * Previous experience operating a HIAB/lorry loader is essential. * Experience delivering to construction sites, welfare sites or temporary works sites would be advantageous. * Strong knowledge of local delivery areas and London. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Professional, reliable and safety-focused attitude. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Own transport to commute to and from the workplace. * Good level of physical fitness, as the role involves manual handling and working outdoors. * Punctual, dependable and flexible approach to work
