Are you an experienced production or manufacturing operator looking to join a business that offers excellent career progression, competitive earnings, and the opportunity to develop your technical skills We're looking for a Level 2 Operator to join our production team, playing a key role in the safe and efficient operation of our paper manufacturing process. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing or process industry experience who enjoys problem-solving, continuous improvement, and working as part of a high-performing team. What You'll Be Doing As a Manufacturing Level 2 Operator, you'll support the Shift Manager and Level 1 Operators to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the paper manufacturing plant. You will be: * Operating the paper machine process to maximise efficiency and performance * Monitoring plant performance and responding appropriately to alarms * Supporting safe start-ups, shutdowns, and maintenance activities * Carrying out quality inspections and reporting any specification issues * Completing preventative maintenance routines and plant inspections * Maintaining exceptional housekeeping standards * Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement * Promoting and maintaining high health and safety standards * Completing H&S audits and reporting findings * Participating in permit-to-work, risk assessment, and isolation processes * Supporting environmental compliance and reporting potential issues * Contributing to emergency response activities where required * Assisting Level 1 Operators with fault finding and problem resolution * Supporting operational and maintenance teams during shutdowns * Helping drive a positive, safety-first working culture * Stepping up into a Level 1 role when suitably trained and authorised What We're Looking For Essential * Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, engineering, or process environment * Strong commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards * Good communication and teamwork skills * Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems effectively * Proactive and continuous improvement mindset Desirable * Vocational or technical training qualification * Experience working within heavy industry, paper manufacturing, or similar process industries * Relevant operational training and competency sign-offs Overtime Rates: * Weekdays: 1.5x hourly rate * Weekends: 2x hourly rate * Bank Holidays: 2x hourly rate * Special Holidays: 3x hourly rate Ready to Take the Next Step If you're an experienced operator looking to advance your career in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with excellent earning potential and development opportunities, we'd love to hear from you.
