Electrical Design Engineer - Energy & Power
Location: Lancashire
I'm currently speaking with Electrical Design Engineers about a confidential opportunity with a growing business working across energy storage, power systems and renewable energy.
This is a practical engineering role rather than purely a drawing-office position. The work covers the design and development of electrical systems used in larger-scale energy and power applications.
A good background would include some of the following:
Electrical system and power distribution design
LV and/or MV systems
AC and DC electrical systems
Single-line diagrams and electrical schematics
Cable sizing and electrical calculations
Switchgear and protection
Equipment selection and specification
AutoCAD, EPLAN or similar electrical design tools
Power conversion equipment, inverters or PCS
Battery storage or renewable energy systems
Grid-connected electrical systems
Experience with BESS, renewable generation, UPS, power electronics, industrial power or other complex electrical systems would be particularly relevant.
