Junior Project Manager – M&E Location: Reigate, Surrey Salary: £45,000 per annum Sector: Building Services / M&E Are you an experienced M&E Engineer with strong HVAC knowledge looking to take the next step in your career? The role would suit an engineer who understands HVAC systems and mechanical building services and is now looking to move away from being purely site-based and develop their career within project management. The Role As a Junior Project Manager, you’ll work closely with experienced Project Managers and the wider engineering team, supporting the successful delivery of M&E projects from planning through to completion. Your responsibilities will include: * Supporting the management and delivery of M&E projects. * Assisting with project planning, programmes and project documentation. * Coordinating engineers, subcontractors and suppliers. * Supporting the procurement of materials and services. * Monitoring project progress, costs and deadlines. * Attending client and site meetings. * Assisting with technical queries and resolving issues on site. * Reviewing drawings, specifications and project requirements. * Ensuring works are delivered to the required quality, safety and compliance standards. * Developing strong relationships with clients, engineers and subcontractors. * Working alongside experienced Project Managers to develop your project management skills. About You We’re looking for someone with a hands-on M&E engineering background who is ready to take the next step. You’ll ideally have: * Previous experience working as an M&E / Mechanical Engineer. * Strong practical knowledge of HVAC systems. * Experience within commercial building services, facilities, construction or a similar environment. * An understanding of mechanical and electrical building services. * The ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications. * Good communication and organisational skills. * A proactive approach with the ability to solve problems. * The ambition to develop into a fully-fledged M&E Project Manager. Previous project management experience is advantageous but not essential. The key requirement is a solid engineering background, particularly within HVAC, combined with the ambition to progress into project delivery.
