Multi‑Skilled Engineer Oldham, Greater Manchester £56,650 per annum Panama shift pattern (7am – 7pm / 7pm – 7am) Benefits 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays Option to purchase an additional week of holiday Health care cash plan 15% store discount including double discount weeks 30% discount with Club Individual Restaurant Group Free onsite parking Enhanced maternity and paternity leave Employee assistance programme Long service awards Reward and recognition programme Cashback and discount scheme across 150+ retailers Key Responsibilities: Work closely with production teams to minimise machinery downtime and ensure all preventative maintenance is completed ahead of schedule Carry out reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance activities Respond effectively to breakdowns to keep downtime to a minimum Complete engineering installations including electrical, mechanical, fabrication, plumbing and pipework Fault find across a wide range of production and process equipment Produce drawings, measurements and specifications for required spare parts Make recommendations and implement improvements to support Continuous Improvement activity Comply with all technical, HACCP and food safety requirements Supervise contractor activity when required Support any reasonable requests from the Engineering Management Team Contribute to key KPIs including MTBF, MTTR, accidents, downtime, technical non‑conformances and work requests Education and Experience: Essential  Apprentice Trained NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Desirable  Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate FMCG experience Strong fault‑finding background 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Key Capabilities Strong prioritisation skills and ability to manage workload effectively Self‑motivated and goal‑orientated Positive attitude with a passion for improvement Confident communicator able to challenge when required Strong team player who performs well in a high‑pressure environment Keywords Multi Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Electrical and Mechanical, PLC, Automation, PPM, Reactive Maintenance, CMMS, Fault Finding, Root Cause Analysis, Lean, OEE, 5S, TPM, Manufacturing, Food Manufacturing, Engineering Technician, Shift Engineer, Preventative Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, Machinery Repairs, Engineering Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, HNC, Engineering Compliance, Safety, HSE, Engineering Support, Engineering Projects, Please contact Ryan Taylor on (phone number removed) at Winsearch for more information.
