Job Description
An established civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is looking for an experienced Planner to join their team in West Midlands.
Responsibilities for Planner:
* Proactively support estimating and delivery teams to ensure planning standards are maintained across all projects
* Collaboratively develop and maintain robust, detailed project plans across tender, pre-construction, and delivery stages
* Assist with establishing optimal construction methodologies, logic sequences, and work outputs
* Develop animations of project plans to aid digital rehearsal of construction
* Monitor the critical path and key milestones, advising the delivery team on potential changes and mitigation actions
* Ensure claimable delays are captured and quantified
* Support the development of programmes to demonstrate the impact of change in compliance with contractual requirements
* Advise Operations and Commercial teams on project risks, float uptake, and programme impacts
Essential Requirements for Planner:
* CSCS card
* Good understanding of construction sequencing gained in a site-level role within the UK construction industry
* Good knowledge of NEC and other relevant forms of contract
* Experience leading collaborative planning processes
* Proficient in Primavera P6/Primavera Cloud and competent in MS Project
* Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to a wide range of audiences
Desirable:
* Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction
