Registered Manager – Children’s Home Location: Hartlepool Salary: £50,000–£55,000 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm Contract: Permanent, Full Time We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager, or a strong Deputy Manager ready to step up, to lead a brand-new children’s residential home in Hartlepool. The home will support children and young people aged 10–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is an excellent opportunity to shape a new service from the outset, build your own team and create a positive, child-centred environment. The Role You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and development of the home, including: * Supporting the Ofsted registration and inspection process * Recruiting, managing and developing the staff team * Ensuring high standards of safeguarding and care * Maintaining compliance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards * Managing budgets and operational resources * Building relationships with local authorities, families and professionals * Promoting positive outcomes for children and young people About You We are looking for someone with: * Minimum 2 years’ residential childcare experience * Experience at senior or management level * Level 5 Management qualification or willingness to work towards it * Good knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and SCCIF * Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills * A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people Benefits £50,000–£55,000 salary plus: * 31–32 days’ holiday * Enhanced pension * Death in service benefit * Birthday leave * Employee Assistance Programme * Health cashback and employee discounts * Cycle to Work scheme * Enhanced family and sickness benefits Applicants must be UK-based with full right to work in the UK.
