Client Bookkeeper Ashford, Kent  |  Full-time or part-time Role Client Bookkeeper Location Ashford, Kent Salary £28,000 - £32,000 FTE Hours Full-time or part-time, both considered Consultant Lydia Sinclair, ProTalent Limited About the firm A well established independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Ashford, with more than thirty years behind them and a strong reputation across Kent. They are big enough to do proper work and small enough that you won't get lost in it. The client base is varied, covering owner-managed businesses, construction, farming, healthcare, property and charities, so the bookkeeping work has real variety in it rather than the same job on repeat. The role You'd look after your own portfolio of clients, handling their bookkeeping end to end and being the person they speak to when they have a question. Bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients on Sage and Xero VAT returns, start to finish CIS returns and compliance Incomplete records through to trial balance Supporting the accounts team at year end Talking to clients directly about records, queries and deadlines Occasional onsite work with clients Who this will suit An experienced bookkeeper, practice background ideal but not essential AAT qualified, part qualified, or qualified by experience Comfortable working to trial balance from incomplete records Good VAT knowledge, CIS a bonus Sage and Xero experience, or the ability to pick software up quickly Someone who likes client contact and would rather sort a query than email about it What's on offer £28,000 to £32,000 full-time equivalent Full-time or part-time, they are genuinely open on hours A varied portfolio, not repetitive processing A stable independent firm rather than a group in the middle of a merger Support with study if you want to keep going Interested?
