Engineering Technician 6 Month FTC Location: Deeside IR35: Inside Hourly Rate: £23.28    Overview:        First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Engineering Technician on behalf of one of our clients. To include the repair and overhaul of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment in a timely and efficient manner whilst complying with legislative and organisational standards. The role will cover the following areas: Avionics systems, communications systems, navigation systems, cable and test box manufacture.    Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform self-directed test, diagnostics, repair, maintenance, modification, calibration and manufacture of equipment down to module / individual component level using approved engineering documentation and techniques. Hold self-certification, over-signing, certifying & conditioning of equipment responsibilities (e.g. serviceable / unserviceable / scrap). Supervision, training and over-signing of junior / equivalent grade staff & apprentices. Carry out feasibility and development activity, including the reverse engineering and creation of supporting engineering documentation / test procedures. Use a combination of different IT software. Provide specialist advice as required. Work within a scheme of engineering governance. Skills and Qualifications: Holds relevant level 3 qualification and advanced/higher apprenticeship. A nationally recognised Electrical/Electronic engineering apprenticeship or Military equivalent. Practical engineering experience within your discipline or specialist area. We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and well organised candidate who can manage numerous tasks/projects individually and as part of the wider team. You will be required to engage with various internal and external stakeholders/customers.   Working knowledge of health and safety within a workshop environment. Where the role involves some handling of chemicals you will follow the COSHH guidelines and PPE will be provided
