Job Title: Software Integration Engineer
Location: Christchurch, Dorset - On-site

Salary: £42,000 - £49,100 + benefits
Our client, an established defence & security firm, require an experienced Software Integration Engineer to join their multi-disciplined team in Christchurch.
This long-term appointment is a complement to the existing 45 strong team that provides support to a fully integrated command and control system for the MoD.
What the role of the Software Integration Engineer entails:
Building and configuring Windows Server 2019/2022 and Windows 10/11 operating systems
Integration and configuration of COTS and bespoke software
Adherence to software engineering practices
Fault finding and resolution of issues in a production environment to a successful conclusion
Producing clear and concise technical documentation
Collaboration with other members of the team: sharing knowledge and peer reviewing others work
Reporting on progress and providing feedback to team members and leadership
Occasional travel to customer sites to support deployment, investigations and testing
What experience you need to be the successful Software Integration Engineer:
You'll be able to use PowerShell and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit to install and configure COTS and bespoke software on Windows 10 and Server 2019
You'll have knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and MDT alternate deployment approaches for deploying Windows 11 and Server 2022 (desirable)
You'll have knowledge and experience of Group Policy and Active Directory
You'll be able to produce clear technical documentation
Candidates would need to have lived & worked in the UK for 5+ years and be eligible for SC security clearance.
