Job Description
Maintenance Engineer
Brandon | Full-Time, Permanent | Competitive Salary + Benefits
Shift pattern: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm - no weekends, no nights, no rotating shifts.
About the role
A manufacturing site is looking to add a practical, engaged Maintenance Engineer to its team. You'll split your time between routine preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns as they arise, working across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
Typical responsibilities:
Diagnosing and resolving equipment faults and breakdowns
Carrying out scheduled maintenance to keep production running smoothly
Working hands-on with pumps, motors, conveyors, gearboxes and similar plant machinery
Contributing to equipment upgrades, installations and reliability improvements
Basic fabrication/welding tasks as needed
What you'll bring:
Background in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Solid fault-diagnosis and hands-on problem-solving ability
Mechanical and/or electrical engineering skills
Welding/ Fabrication experience
A recognised engineering qualification or equivalent on-the-job experience
A self-starting attitude and comfort working solo or as part of a team
Previous experience with PLCs and control systems, hydraulics, or food/FMCG production would be a bonus!
Why join: A competitive salary with a rare shift pattern - 6am–2pm, Monday to Friday, with your evenings and every weekend free.
On top of that, you'll have real say in how the equipment is maintained and improved, not just told what to fix, and you'll see the impact of your work on the shop floor day to day.
