Residential Support Worker – Children's Home Location: Erdington, Birmingham Salary: £25,500- £26,500 per annum + £75 per sleep-in Hours: Full-time Sleep-ins: 8 per month Shift Pattern: 10:00am – 10:30am the following day About the Role We are looking for caring, dedicated and resilient Residential Support Workers to join a children's residential home in Erdington. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and young people and helping them achieve positive outcomes in a safe, nurturing environment. You will work as part of a dedicated team, providing high-quality care and support while building positive, trusting relationships with the children. Key Responsibilities * Provide high-quality, child-centred care and support. * Build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people. * Support children with their daily routines, education and activities. * Promote independence, confidence and positive development. * Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures. * Support children with emotional and behavioural needs. * Record and report important information accurately. * Work effectively as part of the wider staff team. * Participate in activities, appointments and community outings. * Maintain a safe, welcoming and supportive home environment. * Complete sleep-in duties as part of the rota. About You We are looking for someone who is: * Passionate about working with children and young people. * Caring, patient and resilient. * Confident managing challenging situations. * A strong communicator and team player. * Reliable, professional and committed to safeguarding. * Comfortable working sleep-in shifts. * A driver with a full UK driving licence. Essential Requirements * NVQ Level 3 / Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, Children & Young People, or equivalent. * Previous experience working with children or young people is essential. * Experience within a children's residential setting is highly desirable. * Full UK driving licence. * Willingness to complete 8 sleep-in shifts per month.
