BSL Teaching Assistant - Primary School
Are you a Teaching Assistant with British Sign Language (BSL) training looking for a rewarding role supporting a child on a 1:1 basis? I'm working with a primary school seeking a dedicated BSL Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil on a long-term basis, starting immediately.
This role involves providing consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day, helping the child access learning, communicate effectively, and fully engage in classroom activities.
Key Details:
Year Group: Year 5
Role: 1:1 support for a pupil requiring British Sign Language communication support
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Start Date: Immediate start
Contract: Long-term ongoing roleRequirements:
Training or qualification in British Sign Language (BSL) is essential
Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting
Ability to build positive relationships and provide consistent support
Strong communication skills and a patient, nurturing approach
