Job Description
I’m recruiting for an established groundworks & reinforced concrete contractor who are looking for an experienced Commercial / Pre-Construction Manager to help drive their next phase of growth.
This isn’t a role for someone who simply wants to sit behind a spreadsheet.
They need someone commercially driven, proactive and well connected — someone who knows the London construction market, can build relationships and can turn opportunities into secured projects.
• Taking ownership of new tender enquiries
• Developing relationships with main contractors, developers & QSs
• Identifying and approaching new clients
• Managing the tender pipeline from enquiry through to award
• Reviewing drawings, BOQs and tender information
• Coordinating estimators/QSs
• Reviewing pricing, margins and commercial risk
• Attending client meetings and tender negotiations
• Following up opportunities and converting tenders into work
• Helping shape the company's commercial growth strategy
Someone who knows the subcontracting market and knows where the work is.
Ideally, you’ll have experience across:
Groundworks | RC Frames | Reinforced Concrete | Formwork | Civil Engineering | Basements
Existing relationships with main contractors, developers, QSs and commercial teams would be a major advantage.
Most importantly, I’m looking for someone with the drive, contacts and commercial ability to generate and win new business.

Location: North West London, London – Office Based
Days: Monday–Friday
Start: Immediate
I’m open to speaking with experienced Commercial Managers, Pre-Construction Managers, Senior Estimators and Business Development professionals who have a proven track record in the sector.
