Interim Voids Surveyor
Kent | Hybrid Working | £385 per day
A Kent-based council is seeking an Interim Voids Surveyor to support its housing service in reducing void turnaround times and improving the quality of empty homes before letting.
With housing demand continuing to increase, the authority is focused on delivering properties back to residents as quickly as possible whilst maintaining high standards of compliance and quality. This role will play a crucial part in achieving those objectives.
The role will involve:
Carrying out void inspections and writing specifications
Investigating repair issues and producing remedial schedules
Ordering and coordinating repair works
Monitoring contractors on site
Overseeing void property programmes from start to finish
Arranging compliance certificates and documentation
Developing procedures and improving processes
Supporting and mentoring junior colleaguesYou'll need:
Previous experience managing housing voids
Strong surveying and specification-writing skills
Contractor management experience
Knowledge of housing compliance requirements
