Business Development Manager - Construction (London & South East)
We're working with a well-established main contractor to hire a Business Development Manager to support growth and help secure major construction projects across London and the South East.
This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded, relationship-led BD professional who understands the UK construction marketplace and can help shape winning strategies for high-value bids.
The role
Identify and develop new business opportunities aligned to the wider business strategy
Research the market to spot emerging trends, competitors and target accounts
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders (developer-side and wider market)
Develop bid-winning strategies and support the bid process where required
Partner with internal teams to ensure proposed solutions align to client expectations
What we're looking for
Proven business development experience within the UK construction sector
Background working for a main contractor in a similar BD role
Strong network and relationships with development organisations and key market stakeholders
Solid understanding of bid management for large-scale construction projects
Evidence of winning major projects (circa £70m+)
Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Strategic, self-motivated and results-driven approach
