Salary: MPS M1-M6, pro rata
A friendly and supportive primary school in Chester is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join its dedicated teaching team from November 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate primary teacher looking for a part-time role within a welcoming school community. About the Role
As a Primary Teacher in this Chester school, you will:
Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to the needs of your pupils
Teach across Year 4 and EYFS as part of the maternity cover arrangement
Create a safe, positive and stimulating classroom environment
Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly
Use effective teaching strategies to ensure all pupils can achieve their potential
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other members of staff
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the schoolWhat We're Looking For

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience within primary education and training
Can demonstrate strong teaching and learning practice
Have experience working within either KS1, KS2 or EYFS
Are enthusiastic, organised and adaptable
Have high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
Can work effectively as part of a supportive team
Are committed to their own professional development and education and training
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience across different primary year groups would be advantageous, particularly for candidates who are confident adapting their education and training approach to suit both EYFS and Key Stage 2 learners.
