Start Date: Immediate / January 2027
Pay Rate: £130–£230 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Qualification: QTS required
Experience: Minimum 6 months’ teaching experience in a UK secondary school
Overview:
Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a progressive and well-respected secondary school in Nottingham to recruit a dedicated English Teacher for a position starting immediately or in January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled English educator to contribute to a thriving department and support students at KS3, KS4, and potentially English Language / Literature KS5. Nottingham schools offer vibrant learning environments with modern media and literary resources.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver the KS3 & KS4 English curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced in Nottingham
* Plan, prepare, and assess English Language and Literature lessons in line with department policy
* Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions for GCSE preparation
* Contribute to English department improvement planning
* Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents’ evenings as required
The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Has at least 6 months of classroom teaching English experience in a UK secondary setting
* Is passionate about English education and student achievement
* Has excellent behaviour management and communication skills
* Demonstrates a collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to school life
