Experienced TIG Welder – Long-Term Data Centre Project Location: Wirral Duration: Long-term Sector: New Build / Data Centre Construction Role: TIG Welder / Stainless-Steel Pipe Welder Maptalent Trades are currently recruiting for an experienced and fully accredited TIG Welder to join a major new-build data centre project in the Wirral. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled TIG Welder looking for long-term, consistent work on a high-profile construction project, working alongside a professional and multi-skilled site team. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for Class 2 welding works, with a particular focus on the installation and welding of 8-inch stainless-steel chilled-water pipework. You will be required to consistently deliver high-quality welding to the required project specifications, while maintaining excellent standards of health and safety and working effectively alongside other trades. Requirements Applicants must have: * Proven and extensive experience as a TIG Welder * Strong experience working with stainless-steel pipework * Previous experience welding 8-inch stainless-steel chilled-water pipework * Experience undertaking Class 2 welding works * Relevant and current TIG welding qualifications/accreditation * A valid CSCS card * Previous experience working on commercial construction sites * Ability to read and work from technical drawings and isometric drawings * A strong understanding of site health & safety requirements * Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship * Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-skilled team * Checkable references from previous construction/site-based employment * Reliability, professionalism and a strong work ethic What We Offer * Long-term work on a major new-build data centre project * Consistent employment for the right candidate * The opportunity to work alongside an experienced multi-skilled team * A professional and well-managed working environment * Prompt recruitment process for suitable applicants This position is ideally suited to an experienced TIG Welder with a strong background in stainless-steel pipework and previous data centre, commercial, industrial or high-specification construction experience.
