Job Description
Interim Disrepair Building Surveyor
£400 per day (Inside IR35)
6-Month Contract | Hybrid Working | Immediate Start
We are working with a large social housing provider seeking an experienced Interim Disrepair Building Surveyor to manage a varied caseload of disrepair claims across a residential property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage disrepair cases from inspection through to resolution.
* Undertake property inspections and diagnose building defects.
* Produce technical reports and specifications for remedial works.
* Manage contractors, project delivery, budgets, and quality assurance.
* Liaise with residents, legal teams, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with housing legislation, disrepair protocols, and health & safety requirements.
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience in housing disrepair and building surveying.
* Strong knowledge of building defects, construction methods, and legal disrepair processes.
* Experience managing contractors and project budgets.
* Excellent report writing and stakeholder management skills.
* HNC/HND in Building Surveying or equivalent experience.
