Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst Location: Newport Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established asbestos consultancy in their search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join their team covering Newport and the wider South Wales region. This is an excellent opportunity for a dual-qualified Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst looking to join a respected consultancy offering a genuine balance of surveying and analytical duties across commercial and mixed-use properties. THE ROLE As an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, you will undertake both asbestos surveying and analytical duties across a varied portfolio of commercial and mixed-use sites throughout South Wales. Working independently and alongside an experienced technical team, the Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst will ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards while maintaining full compliance with HSE guidance and UKAS procedures. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Delivering Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264 Undertaking air monitoring, four-stage clearances, leak testing, smoke testing, and reassurance sampling in accordance with HSG248 Working across commercial and mixed-use properties Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports Managing your own workload efficiently across multiple client sites Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (or equivalent) Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, Asbestos Surveyor, or Asbestos Analyst Strong understanding of asbestos legislation and compliance requirements Ability to manage your own workload independently Full UK driving licence Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills Professional, reliable, and quality-focused approach to work WHAT'S ON OFFER Competitive salary Company vehicle provided Balanced surveying and analytical workload Well-managed diary with structured planning Supportive management team Permanent, long-term opportunity with excellent career progression If you are interested in this role, contact Joel Bland on (phone number removed) or email
