General Manager - Country Pub Wembury, Devon £36,000 - £38,000 + Possible Live-In We are looking for a General Manager to lead an exciting and busy country pub in Wembury, just outside of Plymouth. We are after someone who is an experienced and hands-on General Manager to take the reigns of this beautiful country pub and help build on its success. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves the hospitality industry, takes pride in creating a great guest experience, and knows how to bring a team together. We are looking for a minimum of 5 years in a managerial roles - 2 years in a GM role - 3 years cellar management. The Role You'll be responsible for: * Leading, motivating and developing the pub team. * Managing the day-to-day operation of the business. * Delivering exceptional food, drink and customer service standards. * Driving sales, profitability and overall business performance. * Manaing rotas, staffing and labour costs. * Managing stock, GP, wastage and ordering. * Ensuring excellent health & safety, licensing and operational standards. * Building strong relationships with regulars, locals and the wider community. About you We're looking for someone who: * Has previous experience as a General Manager, Pub Manager or Senior Hospitality Manager. * Is confident leading a team and taking ownership. * Understands the commercial side of running a pub. * Has a genuine passion for food, drink and hospitality. * Has excellent communication and organisational skills. * Can remain calm and positive in a busy environment. * Takes pride in standards and attention to detail. * Most importantly, you'll love looking after people and have the perdonalist to make out pub a place that guests want to come back to.
