Contract Maintenance Engineer Food Manufacturing | Leicestershire | Day Shifts We’re recruiting a Contract Maintenance Engineer to support a busy food manufacturing site in Leicestershire. You’ll provide engineering support to the production team, carrying out reactive and planned maintenance and helping to keep plant and equipment safe, reliable and production-ready — minimising downtime and supporting efficient production. The Role You’ll work closely with Engineering and Production teams, responding to breakdowns, completing planned preventative maintenance and identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance. What You’ll Be Doing: Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns to minimise downtime Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing and routine inspections Providing reactive and proactive maintenance across plant, equipment and auxiliary systems Supporting Production to maximise equipment availability and efficiency Ensuring planned engineering tasks are completed on time and in full Completing maintenance documentation and keeping CMMS records up to date Maintaining high standards of repair, engineering practice and housekeeping What We’re Looking For: Qualified Maintenance Engineer – C&G / NVQ Level 3 or above, ideally with ONC/HNC Apprentice trained Multi-skilled, with strong electrical and mechanical experience Food or FMCG manufacturing experience essential Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Proactive approach to maintenance and supporting production Good communication and teamwork skills A commitment to continuous improvement and personal development Who Is This Suited To?
