General Operative (NG Person - Substation)
Location: Kings Ave Site, 157 Acre Lane, London, SW2 5UA
Rate: £18.35 per hour - PAYE only
Hours: 07:30 - 18:00
Duration: 40 Days (10/08/26 - 18/09/26)
A leading power & utilities contractor is seeking an NG General Operative (NG Person - Substation) to support emergency works at an LPT2 National Grid site in London. You will assist site teams working within a live substation environment and help ensure safe, compliant delivery of critical activities.
Duties
Support teams working inside a live National Grid substation.
Assist with general labouring and operational tasks.
Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and plant operators.
Support safe lifting and material‑handling operations.
Maintain clean, organised, and compliant work areas.
Follow National Grid safety rules and site procedures.
Carry out tasks as directed to support emergency/reactive works.
