Job Description
Role: Registered General Nurse
Location: BR1 Bromley
Hours: 3 consecutive days and every other weekend
Privately run care home requires a Registered General Nurse to care for it patients.
Duties of a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in a care home
1.
Patient Care: Assessing, planning, and providing nursing care for residents, including administering medications and treatments.
2.
Health Monitoring: Regularly monitoring vital signs and observing residents for changes in health, reporting any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
3.
Care Planning: Developing and updating individual care plans in collaboration with other healthcare team members based on the needs and preferences of residents.
4.
Documentation: Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of residents’ care, treatment plans, and progress notes.
5.
Training and Supervision: Training care staff and providing guidance to ensure high standards of care are delivered consistently.
6.
Communication: Communicating effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a team approach to care.
7.
Infection Control: Implementing and following infection control guidelines to ensure the safety and health of residents.
8.
Emergency Response: Being prepared to respond to medical emergencies according to protocols.
9.
Support and Advocacy: Supporting residents’ dignity, rights, and choices, and acting as an advocate for their needs within the care home.
10.
Quality Improvement: Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the care environment and residents' quality of life.
Ideally you will have UK work experience and checkable references.
