Project Quality Engineer Peterlee, County Durham Up to £27.73 PAYE / £37.64 Umbrella + holiday pay + pension 12-Month Initial Contract Fully Onsite | 36.5 Hours per Week Monday to Thursday: 7:30am to 4:00pm, with an early finish at 12:00 every Friday! We are currently recruiting for a Project Quality Engineer to join a leading global manufacturer in Peterlee on an initial 12-month contract. This role offers the opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of supplier quality, manufacturing, procurement and supply chain projects. You'll play a key role in supporting supplier quality initiatives, new product introductions, continuous improvement activities and supplier development programmes while working closely with both suppliers and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities * Lead supplier quality activities across multiple projects * Support NPI, Continuous Product Improvement and New Source Introduction programmes * Manage project timelines, milestones and key deliverables * Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement and Supply Chain teams * Drive APQP activities through to PPAP approval * Support supplier selection, development and performance improvement * Identify and mitigate supplier and project risks * Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives About You * Strong Supplier Quality experience within a manufacturing environment * Experience working with suppliers, procurement and supply chain functions * Knowledge of APQP and PPAP methodologies * Strong project coordination or project management experience * Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills * Knowledge of SAP, Teamcenter, or Power BI would be advantageous but is not essential Desirable Experience within: * Automotive, Aerospace, Rail, FMCG, Heavy Engineering or Pharmaceuticals If you’re interested, please apply now with an up-to-date copy of your CV that clearly shows your relevant experience; suitably qualified candidates will be contacted immediately.
