Stores Assistant Location: Woore Salary: £12.71 per hour Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm Contract: Weekly paid contract We are currently recruiting for a Stores Assistant to join a busy and fast-paced warehouse team based in CW3. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous warehouse or stores experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing or distribution environment. The successful candidate will be organised, reliable and methodical, with a strong understanding of health and safety within a warehouse environment. Please note, this role can be physically demanding due to the size and type of products handled. Key Responsibilities * Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods * Picking and preparing materials for production * Loading and unloading goods safely * Moving stock around the warehouse * Maintaining accurate stock records * Using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems * Ensuring stock is stored correctly and efficiently * Supporting stock checks and inventory control About You The ideal candidate will have: * Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or similar role * Experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment is desirable * A good understanding of warehouse health and safety * Strong attention to detail and an organised approach * The ability to work as part of a team * A self-motivated and reliable attitude * The ability to carry out physically demanding duties Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck licences are highly desirable. Experience using WMS systems and handheld scanning devices would also be beneficial.
