Job Description
Food Hub Assistant (Part-Time, 8 Hours per Week) Harold Hill, Havering Are you passionate about helping people and making a difference in your local community? We’re looking for a friendly and proactive Food Hub Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our Food Hub in Harold Hill. Working alongside the Food Hub Supervisor, you'll help deliver a welcoming and efficient service, support customers accessing affordable food, manage stock, assist with deliveries, and signpost people to additional support services. Key Responsibilities * Welcome and support Food Hub customers * Assist with food referrals and community support * Handle, store and distribute food safely * Support stock control, deliveries and cash handling * Maintain accurate records and uphold health & safety standards About You * Experience in a customer-facing role (retail, hospitality, warehouse or similar) * Strong communication and organisational skills * Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office * Friendly, reliable and community-focused * Food hygiene knowledge and a full UK driving licence are desirable Working Pattern * Part-time, 8 hours per week * Flexible working across Tuesdays and Thursdays * Typical shifts: 9am to 4pm (Food Hub open 1pm to 4pm) What We Offer * Up to 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata) * Two paid volunteering days each year * Flexible benefits and discounts scheme * 4x salary life assurance * Up to 10% pension contribution Please note: Peabody does not offer sponsorship for this role.
