Job Description
Assistant Management Accountant (Maternity Cover)
Location: Ayrshire
Contract: Fixed-Term until June 2027
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm (4pm finish on Fridays)
FULLY ONSITE
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join our organisation on a maternity cover contract until June 2027.
Key Responsibilities
Financial monitoring, reporting and analysis.
Supporting and managing day-to-day accounting activities.
Preparing financial reports and working closely with budget holders.
Managing treasury functions, including bank reconciliations and cash flow.
Providing financial guidance to non-finance colleagues.
Ensuring compliance with financial legislation, regulations and policies.
Building relationships with external funders, the Office for National Statistics, and benchmarking groups.
About You
Previous experience in a finance or management accounting role.
Strong financial reporting and reconciliation skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Part-qualified or qualified AAT, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, or equivalent desirable.
What's on Offer
Salary of £35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
Fixed-term contract until June 2027.
35-hour working week with an early finish every Friday.
