Job Description
Project Director - Helsinki - Data Centre 10-year project - UK passport holders considered, with a 25% tax break for non-Finnish candidates. Duties: * Manage overall project cost, schedule, and budget from inception through to completion. * Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure seamless execution of project activities. * Analyse, track, and manage critical milestone activities to prevent schedule delays and ensure timely delivery. * Review and evaluate construction proposals, pricing, and scopes of work. * Lead and facilitate client meetings and other required project coordination meetings. * Monitor and report on factors that influence construction costs, preparing data-driven insights and recommendations. * Demonstrate knowledge of construction procurement methods and manage long-lead equipment delivery schedules. * Review, validate, and audit cost estimates prepared by subcontractors and other project stakeholders. * Support engineering and design decisions related to cost and budget during design-build changes. * Track and verify equipment availability in line with the project schedule. * Coordinate and oversee scheduling consultant reviews and ensure integration with project controls. * Review and approve invoices, payment applications, and retention payments. * Manage the handover process to the client, including close-out documentation, warranties, and final deliverables. Requirements * Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role. * Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills. * Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other relevant project management tools. * Proven ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and coordinate multidisciplinary project activities. * Commercially astute, with a strong understanding of project financial management and cost control. * Capable of working under pressure to meet demanding schedules while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards
